For us, weekend nap times usually mean tackling an outdoor projects. This weekend, we decided to finally move what we affectionately call “Landscape Block Island.” Abandoned by its previous owners, this little island of concrete has sat in our yard for the past 3 years. It’s a pain in the tail to mow around and the weeds that are *oh so* prevalent in our yard have declared it their headquarters. It’s time to say goodbye… well, more like see you later, because you never know when we might need some random landscape blocks.
Many, many wheelbarrow trips were required to move these heavier-than-they-look blocks across the dry creek bed, over to their new home. We weren’t sure this rickety old bridge would be up for the job…
Overall, not a super fun job, but we managed to move all of the blocks during one morning nap. That’s a success! And the side yard looks a whole lot better now! Murphy thinks it’s pretty great, too.
Stay tuned for grass seed sowing in the fall!
